(IANS) South Korean tech giant Samsung’s new smartphone that folds, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, are likely to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset in the underside of the phone.

According to a well-known tipper in the Ice Universe reports that Ice universe’s highly sought-after foldables will run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.

“I confirm again that Fold 4 and Flip 4 will use TSMC Snapdragon 8 gen1 plus (SM8475),” the tipster tweeted on Friday.

There are several reports that state that there is a possibility that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have a battery of 4,400mAh like its predecessor. But, the Z Flip 4 is said to come with a larger batteries than Flip 3.

The reports previously mentioned that the coming Galaxy z Fold 4 is likely to include an hinge that could reduce the weight. The hinge is expected to provide improved water resistance and dust-proof certification.

The primary camera setup is also expected to receive an upgrade that brings Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 on level with the quality of camera that is currently offered by the top-of-the-line models on the market.

The company is aiming for 6.9 millions units for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and 2.9 million of the Z Fold 4. To compare, 2021 models are targeted at 4 million units for those with the Z Flip 3 and 3 million for the Z Fold 3.
