A Snapchat Story Is great for showing your friends quick moments of your day. But what if you only wish to share your Snapchat story with a few friends? Snapchat Stories are private and not everyone will need to see them. Snapchat seems to agree with this, given that you can set your privacy settings so that any Snapchat story can be turned into a private one.
It is up to the individual to decide how private they want it. Your Snapchat story can be customized for one individual. You can do this by following the steps below. This option is available and should be fully used.
This is possible by using the custom option to privately share your Snapchat story. Let me show how.

Snapchat Story vs. Private Story
Snapchat privacy settings will allow all of your friends to view the story you create when you take a picture or record a short video. Create a custom story first to create private stories. Once it’s created, it can become private.
Private Stories lets you choose who sees your post before publishing it. You can also add content to your private stories.
How to create your private story using Snap tab
Snap tab is the location in the app that the device’s camera has been active. Here you can take a picture or record a movie. To locate it, swipe from the bottom center to any tab in the circular to either the Conversation or Discover tabs.
1. Snap a picture or record video on the Snap tab. You can also upload a photo and a video.
2. Tap for lower right icon.
3. Select A Private Story (Only You Can Post).
4. You have displayed a listing of Friends, Recents or Groups. Select the contact whose private life story you wish to view. You will see a blue checkmark next to the selected friend / group’s profile picture. To change your mind, tap the selected friend or group before you proceed to the next step of posting a private story.
5. Tap Mark Create a private account. My Story has a padlock icon that distinguishes private stories from My Story. Friends can view your private stories along with mine (although they may be displayed separately on some Android devices).
How to make a snapchat private story using your profile
Alternately, you can create your own private story using the Snap tab. Jerez Method:
1. Tap Next Story.
2. Tap Private Stories.
3. To find out who would like to read your private story, browse the list of Recents, Friends, Groups, Friends and Best Friends.
4. Once you are done adding users to your account, checkmark in the bottom right corner of the box.
5. Here you can:
- Tap Private Story Title Enter your name at the top.
- Tap to view this story, if you wish to add someone that you may have missed.
- Select the checkbox to disable or enable Autosave To Memory. Skip save, or include a private story in your memory. This story cannot be selected Add to. All private stories can only been added by the creator (you).
6. Tap the blue Create Story button and press the Press Button. You will see your newly created username under the [Story] area of your private account. To create your first photo, or to record your first video, tap snaptab. It can also be added to your private stories when you take or record an image. You can tap on the main Snap tab, then go to the destination Next. It will be under the private stories name Stories.
7. To add photos and video to a private Story, three horizontal points to your right of the Private Story Name of the Profile, then tap Add to the Story.
